Tour Availability

There are a number of configuration settings in Rent IQ which allow you to run tours the best way for your organization. This guide covers each one and how it shapes the times a guest sees.

Leasing hours and tour length define the tour slots. The leasing hours set each day's leasing window, and the tour length sets how long each tour is. A slot is only offered to guests when it falls within leasing hours and a leasing agent is free to run the tour.

Minimum booking notice sets how far in advance the guest is required to book their tour. A guest cannot book a tour sooner than that.

A buffer adds extra time after each tour before the next one can be booked. It gives the agent room for things like travel between properties or completing administrative tasks.

How a booking affects the remaining tour slots depends on how many agents are assigned. With one agent, booking a time removes that slot for everyone. With more than one agent, the slot stays available as long as another assigned agent is still free at that time.

An agent's connected calendar also shapes availability. When an agent marks time as busy in Google or Outlook, Rent IQ sees it and stops offering tours during that time. The calendar syncs automatically, so an agent taking an afternoon off can block it off in their calendar and it gets updated in Rent IQ.
