How Calendar Integration Works
A connected Google or Outlook calendar keeps your tour availability accurate by checking when you are free, and it adds your booked tours to your calendar automatically. The rest of this guide covers how both work.
To connect your calendar, follow Connecting Your Calendar. You give Rent IQ permission to view your calendar and to add tour events to it.
Once connected, Rent IQ stays in sync with your calendar. When anything on it changes, your availability updates automatically, so guests only see times when you are actually free. Time off works the same way: when you mark time as busy in your connected calendar, Rent IQ stops offering tours during it. See Mark Time Off in Your Calendar for more information.
Rent IQ also adds your tours directly to your calendar. When a guest books a tour, it creates an event on the assigned agent's calendar with the tour date and time, the property, and the guest's name, phone, and email. If the guest reschedules or cancels, Rent IQ updates or removes that event. The guest's confirmation email also includes a calendar invitation, so they can add the tour to their own calendar.
