Notifications

Rent IQ sends notifications automatically at each stage of a tour: when it is booked, on the morning of the tour, and after it is completed. For each tour, some notifications go to the leasing agent and some go to the guest. This guide explains what each is and when it is sent.

Text Messages

Guests receive three text messages. The first is a tour confirmation with the property name and tour time. The second is a reminder on the morning of the tour, where they reply 1 to confirm or 9 to cancel. The third is a follow-up after the tour, personalized with their name and property address and containing the application link. The follow-up is optional and can be turned off in the property's tour settings page, where you can also set the application URL.

Email

Agents are notified by email when a new tour is booked, when a guest reschedules, and when a guest cancels. Each message includes the property, the tour date and time, and the guest's details, so the assigned agent has what they need without opening the dashboard.

Tour guests also receive a tour confirmation email which includes buttons to reschedule or cancel the tour themselves, plus a calendar invitation they can add to their own calendar. If the guest decides to cancel or reschedule their tour, they will also receive a confirmation email.
